What Is Earthworks?
Earthworks is a Trimble grade control system that uses software design files and sensors to control your machinery and create accurate grades. With Earthworks, your operators can dig exact slopes and levels to create a functional surface for any building or landscaping task.
The Trimble Earthworks software application runs on Android and can be used with tablets, phones, or Trimble touchscreen displays—giving you flexibility to suit your fleet. With Earthworks hardware like the TD520, you get a colorful, professional-grade touchscreen display purpose built for construction sites. These devices are purpose built to operate flawlessly in a wide range of weather and temperature conditions and includes features like Gorilla glass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, plus an accessible USB port for seamless information transfer.
The Trimble Earthworks system can be used on any mixed fleet containing earthmoving equipment with pre-built configurations for a variety of equipment types:
- Earthworks for Excavators: When grading with an excavator, use Trimble Earthworks to control your boom and bucket while the operator controls the stick.
- Earthworks for Graders: Position your blade based on the surrounding conditions to achieve smoother surfaces on the first pass.
- Earthworks for Dozers: Receivers mount on the cab, freeing up the blade of your dozer to work in any environment, including tight and steep areas.
